Resident Association Board

Your Resident Association Board consists of 4 elected officers. They represent members by:

1. Improving living conditions in the housing communities.
2. Cooperating with housing authority management in maintaining the physical condition of the property in a quality manner.
3. Assisting the authority in providing nourishing neighborhoods for low-income persons.
4. Serving as an organized spokesman for the resident body to present resident concerns to the authority and participating and providing feedback to the authority regarding the 5 Year Plan and Annual Plan, policy revisions, grant applications, development of resident programs, etc. on behalf of the residents.
5. Serving as an organized spokesman for the resident body for community issues other than those related to housing.
6. Serving as a liaison between residents and the housing authority.
7. Sponsoring educational programs that will assist residents in moving to self-sufficiency.
8. Sponsoring cultural and recreational activities for the residents.
9. Fostering a sense of responsibility and community awareness among residents.

Board officers meet the first Tuesday of each month. Feel free to contact any one of these representatives with Resident Association questions.
